Part-Time Tutor – K–8

Katie's Learning Corner is looking for a reliable, patient, and enthusiastic part time tutor to join our growing tutoring business. The successful candidate will work one-on-one with elementary students helping them strengthen their academic skills and build confidence.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children and can create a positive and encouraging learning environment.

Responsibilities
Provide one-on-one tutoring to students in Grades K–8
Support students in reading, writing, and mathematics
Adapt explanations and activities to each student's individual learning needs
Help students strengthen foundational academic skills and confidence
Prepare simple activities and materials for tutoring sessions
Communicate professionally and positively with students and families
Maintain a reliable and consistent tutoring schedule

Qualifications
Experience working with children or youth is preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Patient, dependable, encouraging, and comfortable working independently
Robust understanding of elementary-level reading, writing, and mathematics
Students or graduates in Education, Child and Youth Care,



Early Childhood Education, Educational Assistant programs, or related fields are encouraged to apply
Previous tutoring, teaching, coaching, camp, childcare, or other experience working with children is an asset

Position Details
Part-time
$19.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
Primarily after-school and evening hours
One-on-one tutoring
Opportunity for additional students and hours as Katie's Learning Corner grows
