The Salvation Army seeks a compassionate Emergency Shelter Support Worker for full-time night shifts. Engage in meaningful work providing safety and support for those in need during vulnerable times.

In this role as a Residential Worker B, you will oversee the shelter environment ensuring both safety and compliance. Responsibilities include conducting room checks, developing discharge plans, and addressing clients’ emotional needs. You will work closely with law enforcement and community agencies to facilitate support, creating a secure setting for residents.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular safety checks of residents
• Develop, update, and monitor client discharge plans
• Facilitate communication with external agencies




• Advocate and provide emotional support in crises
• Manage documentation and reporting requirements

Requirements:
• Minimum one year experience in social services
• Completed social services diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of addictions counseling is a plus
• Capable of working under stressful conditions
• Committed to The Salvation Army’s mission and values
