Wellington County is looking for a Planner to join its Policy and Technology division. In this position, you will drive the formulation and implementation of key planning policies while collaborating with stakeholders. A robust grasp of planning regulations and community needs is vital for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement planning policies for the County
• Support municipalities in interpreting planning regulations
• Present planning issues to local councils
• Research and collect data on planning topics
• Represent the County at Ontario Land Tribunal hearings
Requirements:
• Degree in planning or a related discipline
• Three years’ experience in policy planning
• RPP designation or eligibility
• Understanding of the Planning Act and regulations
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
