Job Summary
We are seeking a shop foreman with experience managing projects and teams, to join our fabrication team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for day to day operations in the shop, with precision and safety. This role requires a solid understanding of weld symbols, blueprint reading, and various welding techniques to produce high-quality products for construction and other manufacturing applications. The shop foreman will work closely with team members to ensure projects meet specifications and safety standards.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project requirements.
Daily safety meetings and paperwork.
Oversee all shop projects and delegate accordingly to fabrication staff.
Perform MIG and TIG welding on various metals, ensuring solid and precise welds.
Utilize plasma cutting, press brake machines, hand tools and power tools to shape and assemble components.
Rigging materials and equipment safely for lifting and positioning parts using cranes or forklifts.
Measure materials accurately , perform basic math calculations for measurements and tolerances.
Assemble fabricated parts according to specifications, ensuring proper fit and finish.
Conduct quality checks on finished products.
Maintain a clean and protected work environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures.Qualifications
Proven experience in welding (MIG and TIG) with the ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Mechanical knowledge related to fabrication processes including plasma cutting, machining, press brake operation, and assembly.
Familiarity with rigging techniques, crane operation, forklift handling, hand tools, power tools, and basic math skills.
Ability to interpret schematics and use calipers for precise measurements.
Knowledge of manufacturing standards related to ductwork or construction fabrication is a plus.
Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment while adhering to all safety regulations. Pay: $38.00-$45.00 per hour
