Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plumber/B Gas fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Gas Fitting, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This role requires expertise in installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings. The B Gas Fitter will be responsible for ensuring that all plumbing work is performed to code and meets industry standards.
Responsibilities
Install, repair, and maintain Plumbing/Gas Systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine layout and installation requirements.
Conduct routine inspections of Gas systems to identify issues and perform necessary repairs.
Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as carpenters and HVAC technicians, to ensure project completion.
Utilize power tools and welding equipment safely and effectively for various plumbing tasks.
Communicate with clients regarding plumbing issues, solutions, and project timelines.
Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols.
Ability to re-light various gas appliances
Skills
Proficient in basic math for measurements and calculations related to plumbing tasks.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot Plumbing/Gas systems effectively.
Experience in blueprint reading to accurately assess project requirements.
Familiarity with Plumbing/Gas systems is a plus for integrated projects.
Ability to operate power tools safely and efficiently.
Skills in carpentry may be beneficial for certain installations or repairs.
Knowledge of welding techniques can enhance versatility in plumbing tasks.
Robust problem-solving skills with attention to detail for high-quality workmanship.
