Become part of the Fraser Health team, where you will collaborate with a skilled group of surgeons dedicated to improving acutely ill patients' lives. Within this role, you will engage in residency training and clinical research through the University of British Columbia while providing surgical services with a minimum commitment of 12 weeks each year. A locum experience prior to application is available, allowing you to immerse in our advanced care setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct surgical procedures for acute care patients
• Collaborate in teaching and guiding surgical residents
• Engage in clinical research and quality improvement efforts
• Share on-call responsibilities in a structured model
• Participate in interprofessional team consultations
Requirements:
• Superior clinical and surgical capabilities required
• Fellowship training in Trauma or Acute Care Surgery preferred
• Hold CMPA, FRCSC, and CSPBC certifications
• Commitment of at least 12 weeks each year
• Interest in advancing educational and clinical practices
