Langara College, located in Vancouver, B.C., is searching for a temporary instructor to teach an engaging course on contemporary American cultural and political power within Canada. The selected candidate will develop lectures, assignments, and evaluate students effectively.
Candidates need to be available on Mondays and Wednesdays from 12:30 to 14:20, starting September 1, 2026, until December 31, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop engaging lectures and course content
Teach Canadian Studies 1110 in-person
Grade assignments and course assessments
Participate in Canadian Studies program meetings
Maintain current knowledge of Canada-U.S. relations
Requirements:
Master’s Degree or PhD in related field required
Knowledge of Canada-U.S. economic and political relations
Post-secondary teaching experience preferred
Familiarity with Brightspace and educational technology
Ability to collaborate with faculty members
