As a TNP-MHSU with the Northwest Territories Health and Social Services Authority, you will engage with a diverse team to ensure that culturally responsive care is delivered effectively. This role involves comprehensive assessments and emergency response services, highlighting your leadership in mental health and substance use management. Your responsibilities extend to health promotion and providing education to facilitate wellness at the community level.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform health assessments and initiate treatment for clients
• Oversee intake and assessment for Medical Detox Service
• Collaborate with Community Health and Mental Health professionals
• Advocate for patient-centered, anti-racist care
• Provide rehabilitation and palliative care services
Requirements:
• Must have a master's degree and Nurse Practitioner certification
• 2 years of mental health nursing experience is preferred
• Preferred qualification: PMHNP-BC certification
• Registered or eligible for CNNN registration
• Willingness to advance qualified certification
