Job Title: Technician (Reefer Mechanic) Location: Coquitlam, British Columbia
Overview: The Transport Refrigeration Technician is responsible for the diagnostics, repair, installation, and maintenance of refrigeration systems on trucks, trailers, and containers. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role suited for mechanically inclined individuals who enjoy troubleshooting and working in the field.
What you will be doing: Service, maintain, and repair
Truck/trailer refrigeration units (reefers)
HVAC and AC systems
Container refrigeration units and gensets
Perform installations of reefer units
Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues
Ensure all work meets company standards
Provide solid customer service in office
Participate in on-call rotation (mobile techs)
What you must have: Open to multiple Red Seal trades OR relevant experience, including:
Transport Refrigeration (Reefer)



Technician (no formal Red Seal required if experienced)
Heavy Duty Equipment Technician Red Seal
Automotive Service Technician Red Seal
Diesel Engine Technician Red Seal
Commercial Transport Technician Red Seal
Note: Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability can outweigh exact trade background.
Salary/Rate Range: $42.04/hr - $46.49/hr + $5.03/hr pension (typical starting level for Red Seal)
