Join EGADZ as a Youth Worker, providing crucial support in the My Homes Youth Housing Program in Saskatoon. Offering full time shifts, this role focuses on helping at-risk youth in various settings including night and weekend shifts.
As part of the Saskatoon Downtown Youth Centre, you will use your understanding of Indigenous cultures to foster relationships with troubled youth. The ideal candidate will be compassionate and capable of establishing trust, while actively collaborating with staff and community partners. Effective communication is key to express ideas clearly and maintain professional boundaries in challenging environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide support services to at-risk youth
• Build and sustain effective relationships with youth
• Engage in teamwork with staff and external agencies
• Practice confidentiality and establish boundaries
• Communicate effectively in oral and written formats
Requirements:
• Completed post-secondary education in human services
• 1-2 years of related work experience
• Ability to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends
• Valid class 5 driver’s license with clean record
• Criminal records check and CPR/ASIST training upon hiring
