GFL Environmental is hiring a Waste Processing Technician to support our operations across Canada and the U.S. This role combines technical training with practical skills in waste management.
As a Waste Processing Technician, you will undergo comprehensive day shift training followed by hands-on experience in managing client waste. Responsibilities include processing hazardous materials, ensuring all waste conforms to protocols, and delivering exceptional service to our clients. Your keen attention to safety and efficiency will be vital in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Receive and manage various forms of client waste
• Conduct laboratory sampling from waste containers
• Operate equipment and perform general maintenance tasks
• Complete necessary documentation accurately
• Attend collection events for household hazardous waste
Requirements:
• Must be clean-shaven for safety gear
• Physically fit for lifting and climbing
• Comfortable working at heights, including tanks
• Effective communication and customer service skills
