Step into a fulfilling temporary role as a Physiotherapy Assistant in Lancaster, Ontario, supporting residents in Long Term Care. This position may become permanent in May 2025.
You will work under the guidance of a Physiotherapist to assist residents with therapies, encouraging them to meet their rehabilitation objectives. Solid organizational and communication skills are vital for effectively interacting with elderly residents and other team members in this supportive setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Facilitate group and individual therapy sessions
• Motivate residents to adhere to treatment programs
• Maintain detailed documentation of therapy sessions
• Provide assistance in walking and protected transferring
• Observe and report on resident health changes
Requirements:
• Graduate of a recognized Physiotherapy Assistant program
• Experience in Long Term Care preferred
• Valid police check for the Vulnerable Sector required
• Must possess a valid 2 STEP TB Test or Chest X-Ray
• Reliable vehicle and driver's license a must
