Join McMan Calgary & Area as a Youth Development Coordinator (Floater) to transform the lives of youth through meaningful connections and support. Engage with young people in a nurturing care environment.
Working across Wellington and Manhattan Place homes, this position focuses on youth aged 8-17. Your role will involve practicing trauma-informed care and empowering youth to navigate personal challenges. Collaborate with fellow staff to maintain a protected and structured setting while inspiring youth development and success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Emphasize trauma-informed care in daily interactions
• Support youth with life skills and community resource access
• Manage daily living needs, including meals and hygiene
• Organize recreational,
educational and vocational activities
• Facilitate positive relationships within the community
Requirements:
• Degree or Diploma in Human Services
• Experience working with youth or in community roles
• Understanding of Indigenous cultures and histories
• Proven abilities in crisis intervention and problem-solving
• Valid driver’s license, insurance, and background checks
This position empowers youth by fostering a supportive home environment and respectful relationships.
