Indus Community Services is seeking a full-time Settlement Counsellor to provide vital support to newcomers in Mississauga and Brampton. This role emphasizes personalized counselling and effective workshop delivery to facilitate successful integration.

In this position, you will assess the needs of newcomers and guide them through the complexities of settling in Canada. You will be responsible for offering information on community resources, conducting employment workshops, and maintaining essential records. Your expertise will help create a welcoming workplace for diverse clients.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide ongoing assessment of newcomer client needs
• Facilitate access to local services and resources
• Plan and deliver workshops on settlement issues




• Offer one-on-one career exploration and support
• Maintain accurate client documentation and follow-up

Requirements:
• Relevant post-secondary education required
• Experience in case management preferred
• Knowledge of Canadian workplace culture essential
• Excellent English communication skills; additional languages an asset
• Valid Driver’s License with reliable transportation
