Enhance the education of future artists at BCIT as a part time Faculty member in 3D Modeling, Art, and Animation, specializing in Lighting and Rendering 2. Equip students with industry-standard lighting techniques and rendering strategies.
We are seeking an innovative educator with extensive experience in lighting and rendering to join BCIT’s dynamic teaching team. In this role, you will mentor students as they navigate complex concepts like shading networks and multi-pass rendering. Delivering a curriculum that reflects current industry standards and supporting diversity in learning will be central to your work.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach 3D lighting and rendering principles in an engaging manner
• Prepare and evaluate course content and student assessments
• Facilitate an inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere
• Maintain current course materials in line with industry standards
• Contribute to continuous improvement of teaching programs
Requirements:
• Relevant degree in Animation or related fields
• At least 5 years of experience in the 3D lighting domain
• Knowledge of Autodesk Maya and render engines like Arnold
• Understanding of camera processes and compositing workflows
• Strong communication skills for diverse student support
