Overview

Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Scrum Master to drive our agile transformation and empower development teams to deliver high-quality financial products. The ideal candidate will be a servant-leader who fosters collaboration, removes impediments, and ensures adherence to Scrum principles while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Agile Facilitation

- Lead all Scrum ceremonies: Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Sprint Review, and Retrospectives.
- Guide the team in understanding and applying Scrum principles and practices.
- Maintain a collaborative, transparent, and psychologically safe team environment.

Coaching & Mentoring

- Coach development teams on self-organization and cross-functionality.
- Support Product Owners with backlog refinement and clarity of goals.
- Mentor colleagues and other teams on agile best practices.
- Identify and proactively eliminate impediments to team progress.
- Manage risks and escalate issues to stakeholders when required.
- Shield the team from external distractions.

Stakeholder Communication

- Facilitate clear communication among the Scrum Team, Product Owner, and stakeholders.
- Track and report team progress using metrics such as velocity and sprint burndown.




- Ensure transparency and visibility of deliverables and timelines.
- Drive a culture of learning and innovation through effective retrospectives.
- Encourage experimentation with new tools, techniques, and processes.
- Continuously refine team practices to improve productivity.

Qualifications

Experience

- 3–5 years as a Scrum Master in a true agile workplace.
- Financial industry experience is highly preferred.
- Proven ability to coordinate and lead cross-functional teams.
- Project management experience is an asset.

Technical Skills

- Proficiency with agile tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence).
- Familiarity with scaled agile frameworks (SAFe) is a plus.
- Knowledge of transactional data reporting and financial products (e.g., OTC products) is advantageous.

Certifications (preferred)

- Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)
- Professional Scrum Master (PSM I)
