As part of the Seniors Mental Health Program, your role will involve delivering specialized mental health support to seniors and their caregivers throughout northeast Ontario. You will assess, intervene, and educate individuals facing age-related mental health disorders, making a significant impact on their quality of life. Essential skills include the ability to manage challenging behaviors and work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist seniors in managing their mental health challenges
• Perform necessary assessments and implement interventions
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare team members
• Utilize de-escalation techniques as needed
• Promote a culture of safety in patient care
Requirements:
• Ontario Secondary School Graduation Diploma essential
• Certification as a Personal Support Worker is required
• Current Basic Life Support certification mandatory
• Experience in acute care settings expected
• Bilingual in English and French required
