The Ministry of Community Safety is looking for dedicated individuals to fill a full-time Correctional Officer role at Saskatoon Correctional Centre. Ideal candidates will exhibit adaptability and accountability while demonstrating solid communication and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of human behavior and criminal justice is crucial for effective risk assessment and safety management.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise offenders to ensure a secure environment
• Uphold security measures in the facility consistently
• Assist in rehabilitation and reintegration processes
• Implement and facilitate programming for offenders
• Document incidents and prepare comprehensive reports
Requirements:
• Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver's Licence or equivalent
• First Aid and CPR/AED certifications a must
• Relevant education in social sciences or law enforcement
• Understanding of Canadian criminal justice and human behavior
• Ability to apply risk assessment and procedural compliance
