The Youth Support Worker (YSW) position is crucial at White Buffalo Treatment Centre. You will work closely with a team to ensure the safety and well-being of youth clients through supervision and collaboration. The role includes enforcing policies, intervening when necessary, and supporting cultural programs. Additionally, you will provide first aid and assist in facility upkeep to create a supportive setting.
Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and support youth clients actively
• Implement safety policies and communicate vital information
• Provide minor first aid when needed
• Facilitate engaging group activities and cultural programming
• Help maintain cleanliness and order in the Centre
Requirements:
• Grade 12 Diploma or relevant certification with experience
• Strong de-escalation skills for client interaction
• Valid class 5 driver’s license required
• Must pass a Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector check
• Prepared for evening, night, and weekend shifts
