Be a vital part of Dawson Construction as a Heavy Duty Mechanic in Princeton B.C. This full time position emphasizes safety, quality repairs, and teamwork in maintaining a fleet of vehicles.
You will work under the Superintendent, Mechanical, focusing on diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs for trucks and specialized equipment. The role includes a temporary schedule of two weeks on with one week off, where a commitment to safety and effective communication is paramount for seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform detailed inspections and necessary repairs
• Ensure safety compliance throughout all tasks
• Collaborate with team members for efficient work processes
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Adapt to various weather conditions during repairs
Requirements:
• Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic certification preferred
• Class 5 or Class 3 with Air B.C. Driver’s License
• Welding skills considered an asset
• Capable of heavy physical workload
• Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills
