Join Cermaq British Columbia as a full time Aquaculture Technician focusing on saltwater operations. Enjoy a dynamic role that includes feeding, husbandry, and site maintenance on Vancouver Island.

This position involves working at sea sites to ensure optimal fish welfare from smolt intake through to harvest. You'll report directly to the Site Manager and be part of a committed team dedicated to sustainable seafood production. Opportunities for professional growth and ongoing training are available.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct daily husbandry operations for fish health
• Implement effective feeding strategies for fish management
• Observe and monitor fish behaviors and environmental factors




• Ensure biosecurity by maintaining a secure site
• Handle and operate boats and other heavy machinery

Requirements:
• Prior aquaculture experience preferred but not required
• Relevant certification in Aquaculture or Science fields beneficial
• First Aid and forklift training are assets
• Ability to lift up to 30lbs (20kg)
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
