Join Community Homes for Opportunities Programs (CHO) as a Recreation Service Provider. In this part-time role, you'll develop and implement recreational activities that foster health and well-being for clients.
As a unionized position, this part-time (0.6 FTE) role requires you to assess the interests of clients, especially those facing mental health challenges. Your responsibilities include planning community events and establishing strong connections with individuals and support teams to ensure program success and client engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
• Design and lead leisure activities for clients
• Assess recreation needs of individuals with diverse challenges
• Communicate with clients and support teams effectively
• Report statistics and maintain organized client files
• Partner with community organizations to create events
Requirements:
• Completion of a post-secondary degree/diploma
• Experience supporting vulnerable individuals necessary
• Knowledge of community events and Microsoft Office
• Robust decision-making and communication skills
• Required driver's license and access to a vehicle
