This temporary position requires working closely with residents to implement prescribed treatment programs. As a Physiotherapy Assistant, you'll lead group exercises and one-on-one activities, encouraging resident engagement. Monitoring health status and reporting any changes is essential for maintaining quality care. Your role will also involve performing specific treatments based on the Physiotherapist's direction.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with conducting group exercises for residents
• Encourage and support residents in reaching therapy goals
• Document residents’ progress after each session
• Assist with walking, sitting, and secure transfers
• Monitor health status changes and report to supervisors
Requirements:
• Graduation as a Physiotherapy Assistant or equivalent
• Robust multi-tasking and communication skills
• Experience in Long Term Care settings is a plus
• Current police check for Vulnerable Sector
• Valid TB Test and Chest X-Ray required
