Job Description
Key Responsibilities
Process accurate and timely biweekly payroll for approximately 180–200 employees.
Administer wage adjustments, employee benefits, government remittances, andpayroll-related documentation.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
Prepare Records of Employment and other required employee documentation.
Interpret and apply collective agreements, employment legislation, and workplacepolicies.
Manage employee relations matters, workplace investigations, discipline, andtermination processes.
Support managers with performance concerns, workplace complaints, bullying, andharassment matters.
Coordinate recruitment, interviewing, onboarding, and employee documentation.
Oversee health and safety compliance, WSIB matters, disability claims, and return-towork programs.
Conduct health and safety audits at multiple GTA locations.
Prepare reports for senior leadership, government agencies, and the Board.
Communicate with employees, managers, union representatives, governmentagencies, and external service providers.
Travel between locations across the GTA as required.
Requirements
Minimum three years of progressive human resources experience.
CHRP or CHRL designation, or a degree in Human Resources Management.
Direct experience using PayWork and Workforce.
Strong payroll experience, including Records of Employment, benefits administration,and government remittances.
Knowledge of Ontario employment legislation, including:o Employment Standards Acto Ontario Human Rights Codeo Occupational Health and Safety Acto Pay Equity Acto WSIB requirements
Experience independently handling employee relations matters and workplaceinvestigations.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
Strong judgment, professionalism, and discretion when handling confidentialinformation.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines with minimalsupervision.
Ability to travel between GTA locations as required.
Preferred / Asset Experience
Experience working in a unionized environment.
Experience in childcare, education, or the not-for-profit sector.
Experience supporting employees across multiple locations.
Experience working with collective agreements.
