Join The Royal Ottawa as a Forensic Nurse, providing essential care in Brockville's Forensic Treatment Unit. This full time Registered Practical Nurse role blends mental health support with criminal justice involvement.

Your work will focus on serving individuals diagnosed as Not Criminally Responsible or Unfit to Stand Trial within the Forensic Psychiatry Department. Essential skills include patient assessments, medication management, and effective communication as part of an interdisciplinary team. Flexibility for shifts on days, nights, and weekends is required.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and treat mental health conditions in forensic patients
• Administer medications and monitor vital signs




• Cultivate therapeutic relationships for recovery
• Work collaboratively within the interdisciplinary team
• Participate in workplace violence prevention training

Requirements:
• Practical Nursing Diploma from a recognized program
• Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario
• Current CPR/AED certification
• Understanding of relevant legislation
• Bilingualism in French is considered an asset
