The Field Technician position at EXP involves hands-on work with the Geotechnical team in Kingston, ON. In this role, you will perform vital concrete tests, including slump and air content assessments, and ensure soil compaction quality. Your expert interaction with contractors will enhance their testing experience and contribute to project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute concrete tests, including casting cylinders and slump assessments
• Carry out soil compaction tests at construction sites
• Perform soil sampling and asphalt hot-mix analyses
• Conduct in-lab testing like gradation analysis and proctors
• Offer prompt service and support to on-site contractors
Requirements:
• 2-5 years of concrete and soil testing experience
• Solid math skills and effective communication in English
• Diploma in Civil Technology or similar field is advantageous
• Valid Canadian driver’s license mandatory
• CCIL or ACI Certification is a plus
