The Rail and Transit division at WSP is hiring a System Safety Specialist to assess and manage safety risks effectively. This role requires direct contributions to hazard identification, risk assessment, and documentation efforts, along with collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. You will help enhance safety outcomes for transit systems while following established regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support development of Safety Requirements and Hazard Logs
• Define risk control actions collaboratively
• Conduct HAZID and FTA activities for hazard analysis
• Review compliance evidence and safety documentation
• Contribute to System Safety Reports and artifacts
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant field
• 2–5 years of safety-related experience
• Competent in safety methodologies and regulations
• Excellent communication and writing skills
• Experience with rail projects is an asset
