The Learning Partner will collaborate with educators, administrators, and Indigenous community members to enhance educational support for Indigenous students. You will develop training for staff, create relevant resources, and ensure meaningful connections within the community. This position demands a passion for advocacy and a strong commitment to fostering an inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with board staff to support Indigenous students
• Develop professional learning for educators on Indigenous pedagogy
• Maintain relationships with Indigenous community members
• Create resources related to Indigenous knowledge
• Support Social Studies educators with Indigenous content implementation
Requirements:
• Ontario College of Teachers Certificate
• 1+ years teaching experience
• Strong connection to Indigenous communities
• Knowledge of land-based learning
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Engage with Indigenous knowledge and contribute to a supportive educational environment for students and families.
