The position of Astronomical Software Developer offers a three-year term with the CanDIAPL research team. You will participate in co-developing essential software for astrophysical data handling and automation. Your role encompasses creating portals for data access and designing robust software pipelines to facilitate data transfer from significant telescopes.

Key Responsibilities:
• Build software infrastructure for CanDIAPL's operations
• Create portals for remote astrophysical data access
• Engineer automated systems for data transfer from MeerKAT




• Develop and maintain repositories for astronomical images
• Optimize data transfer processes to CanDIAPL

Requirements:
• Background in software development in astrophysics
• Expertise in data transfer protocols
• Experience with multi-messenger data sets
• Familiarity with astronomical software systems
• Ability to work collaboratively within an international team
