Your Team Grain & Crop Inputs: The Grain & Crop Inputs Division connects Canadian farmers to markets across the country and beyond. With a network of grain elevators, terminals, and agri-retail locations, we provide crop inputs, agronomic solutions, and grain marketing expertise to help producers succeed.

The Role As Commodity Accountant, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate completion of the analysis and reporting of accounting activities for the Grain division.
Day to Day Conduct month-end commodity profit and loss analysis, including CAD functional and USD functional commodities
Provide timely analysis and communication of commodity P&L; results to grain traders
Analyze commodity-related expenses and freight execution costs to identify variances, trends and cost drivers
Complete monthly accounting reconciliations
Prepare and review monthly reports across various systems to support business operations and decision-making.
Prepare and post manual journal entries in a timely and accurate manner.
Complete monthly account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Assist with external financial reporting requirements.
What Youll Bring Bachelors degree, with a concentration in accounting, finance, or a related field
CPA designation or enrollment in a CPA program is considered an asset
Experience in commodity accounting and/or grain accounting is an asset
Knowledge of hedging and future markets
Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 Application Suite, with advanced skills in Excel
Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational and time-management skills
