Located at the Natural Heritage Campus in Gatineau, QC, this full time position requires a solid background in mineralogy combined with three years of collection management experience. You will improve specimen data, oversee collection care, and identify acquisition gaps. Additionally, supporting public inquiries and collaborating on institutional projects will be vital.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage minerals, gems, and meteorites subcollections
• Enhance specimen records through data improvement
• Offer consultancy to internal and external stakeholders
• Contribute to outreach and education initiatives
• Guide technical staff, students, and volunteers
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Science emphasizing Mineralogy
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience with mineral collections
• Familiar with data management systems and record enrichment
• Strong English proficiency; bilingual preferred
• Knowledge of museum health and safety practices
