Support women and gender non-binary individuals as a Women’s Advocate at YWCA Hamilton. This permanent part time role emphasizes crisis intervention, supportive counseling, and life transition programming.

YWCA Hamilton invites applications for two Women’s Advocates, focusing on individuals in need of housing assistance. Your core duties will include crisis support, individual assessments, and liaising with external agencies to ensure comprehensive care. You'll foster essential programs aimed at enhancing social and living skills for our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage daily shelter operations and collaborative client plans
• Conduct client intake assessments and offer referrals




• Keep thorough records in line with organizational standards
• Communicate with community agencies for client support
• Lead workshops to develop living skills

Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of college in social work or equivalent
• 1-3 years’ experience in crisis management
• Background working with vulnerable women
• Must obtain current police check
• Strong interpersonal skills with knowledge of community resources

Promote empowerment and positive change for women within the Hamilton community.
