Responsibilities
View English and Inuktitut version
Plan and facilitate youth programs, workshops, youth gatherings, and events.
Develop culturally relevant programming that promotes Inuit language, traditions, and cultural knowledge, with a focus on health and/or health research.
Liaise with the Regional Youth Services Manager to align youth programs and initiatives
Create a safe and inclusive environment that encourages youth participation.
Work with Elders, knowledge keepers, community members, and partners to support program delivery.
Plan and participate in community engagement sessions to gather feedback and ensure programs reflect community priorities.
Ability to document, write reports, maintain records, and meeting minutes related to program activities and/or budget.
Travel within Nunatsiavut communities and/or Upper Lake Melville may be required.
Must manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Combination of office, community, and land-based settings.

Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Community Studies, Early Childhood Education, Child & Youth Care, or a combination of education and relevant experience.
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance
Experience working with youth in community, educational, or cultural settings.
Solid organizational and project management skills; able to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with youth, Elders, community members, and partner organizations.
Understanding of Inuit culture, language, traditions, and community values (especially as related to health).
Awareness of health issues and determinants affecting Inuit communities.
Experience with project coordination, partnership development, and program evaluation.
