Drive Yuuuluʔiłʔatḥ Government's environmental initiatives as the Director of Lands and Resources in Hitacu, BC. Lead stewardship projects, treaty implementation, and regulatory compliance in a full-time, permanent role.
As a senior management qualified, you will oversee strategic direction, operational delivery, and financial management of the Lands and Resources department. This position requires extensive experience in natural resource management, team leadership, and intergovernmental collaboration to ensure effective policy implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct land use planning and resource harvesting initiatives
• Lead budget management and financial reporting
• Ensure compliance with Indigenous and treaty regulations
• Foster staffing and development opportunities
• Engage in organizational strategic planning with senior management
Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field, Master's preferred
• 8-10 years of relevant experience with 2-3 in leadership
• Established collaboration with Indigenous and governmental bodies
• Experience in funding negotiations and multi-source budgeting
• Understanding of Indigenous rights and environmental stewardship
