Become KPU's Indigenous Designer-in-Residence, enhancing Indigenous design practices while fostering community dialogue at the Wilson School of Design. This residency supports various design projects.
The Indigenous Designer-in-Residence role at the Wilson School of Design is open to First Nations, Métis, and Inuit designers, providing a platform to explore creativity while giving back to the KPU community. Candidates should describe their outreach plans and how they will engage with faculty and students to enrich the school’s offerings.
Key Responsibilities:
• Organize workshops and outreach activities
• Conduct guest lectures within KPU and WSD
• Consult with diverse design students
• Participate in KPU and WSD events
• Hold regular meetings with the Director of Strategy
Requirements:
• Relevant experience in Indigenous communities
• Robust portfolio demonstrating design practice
• Participation in design-related events
• Enthusiasm for collaborative community engagement
• Willingness to coordinate with communications staff
