This role plays a key part in the ‘Parliaments Strengthening Forest Governance’ project, focusing on enhancing the capacity of the National Assembly. You will undertake a focused review of legal and policy frameworks, identify gaps affecting forest governance, and compile a detailed Policy Gap Matrix to guide effective parliamentary interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate with PCAsia and EWMI on technical inputs
• Examine forest, land, and environmental legislation
• Assess reporting obligations and participation mechanisms
• Prepare Viet Nam-specific Policy Gap Matrix
• Conduct validations with stakeholders and project teams
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in relevant field such as public policy
• At least 7 years in governance or policy-related roles
• Proven knowledge of political economy approaches
• Familiarity with gender and Indigenous Peoples’ rights
• Excellent communication and analytical skills in English
