Plains is seeking an experienced Field-Based Electrical & Instrumentation Technician in Sherwood Park. Your role will involve critical maintenance and support of essential systems in open environments.

In this hands-on position, you will provide crucial electrical and instrumentation support across Plains facilities. You will be responsible for installing and maintaining equipment while ensuring compliance with safety regulations. This role is best suited for self-starters who can work independently and are adept at problem-solving in dynamic conditions, including emergency situations.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct all E&I; work tasks with minimal oversight
• Complete preventative maintenance on control and safety devices




• Maintain safety systems and address abnormalities
• Participate in emergency repairs and troubleshooting
• Manage and document preventative maintenance activities

Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• At least five years of relevant experience
• Robust ability to interpret electrical drawings
• Experience with protective devices in pipeline operations
• Permanent residency within a 100KM radius required
