In this full-time, two-year term position, the Senior Assessment Advisor will ensure that all assessments comply with YESAA legislation and reflect community interests. You will lead sensitive discussions, manage stakeholder engagement, and provide high-level advice to the Assessment Director on significant projects. Your expertise in environmental science and socio-economic dynamics will be vital to the assessment unit's success.

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide key briefings and guidance to the Assessment Director
• Ensure assessments adhere to procedural fairness




• Collaborate with district managers to meet assessment goals
• Facilitate resolution of socio-economic conflicts
• Lead training initiatives for assessment staff

Requirements:
• Degree in Environmental Science or related area preferred
• Strong knowledge of assessment legislation in Yukon
• Experience with Indigenous engagement protocols
• Proven impact assessment experience
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada
