Join the Sleep Lab team as a Polysomnographic Technologist focusing on sleep studies at Alberta Children's Hospital. Work with pediatric and adult patients, conducting vital assessments and educating families.
This part-time opportunity involves performing detailed polysomnographic studies and providing transcutaneous monitoring. You'll be responsible for calibrating high-tech equipment and offering ongoing technical support, as well as coordinating with patients about their funding options and resources for treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Execute polysomnographic studies for diverse sleep disorders
• Monitor arterial blood gases during evaluations
• Instruct clients on equipment use and maintenance
• Provide troubleshooting support for CPAP and BiPAP devices
• Assist in coordinating patient funding options
Requirements:
• Active registration or eligibility with BRPT
• Familiarity with related professions in healthcare
• Solid skills in equipment handling and support
• Ability to educate patients and families effectively
