We are recruiting talented Accountant /Accounting Manager candidates on behalf of our Client, Taylor Volkswagen , as a result of an upcoming retirement. Reporting to the General Manager and leading a team of 2 Accounting Clerks, you will provide full cycle accounting, financial analysis and reporting for this reputable dealership located in East Regina.
Responsibilities include:
Provide full-cycle financial accounting including A/P, A/R, journal entries, bank/credit card reconciliations and reporting.
Provide leadership and coach the Accounting Clerks, instilling a motivated and positive work team. Ensure organizational ethics and values are intact and ‘lived’ within the workplace.
Prepare / process government remittances including GST, PST and payroll source deductions, ensuring all regulatory filings are completed and submitted on a timely basis.
Compile financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timely reports to stakeholders.
Assess, track and process product sales and service documents.
Ensure accurate reconciliation of bank statements, accounts and subledgers.
Assist with accounting cash flow, insurance and budgeting. Coordinate required payroll documents and information for processing.
You will bring:
Degree/Diploma in Financial Accounting and/or Business Administration is preferred. CPA designation is an asset.
Proficiency in full cycle accounting utilizing accounting software programs. Experience in a product sales/service work environment is an asset.
Strong organizational and analytical skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and competing priorities.
Personal integrity, honesty and strong work ethics. Committed and willing to lead and work within the values and ethics of the organization.
Start: Negotiable; ideally within the next 3 months
Hours of work: Mon to Fri, 8-5
