THE ROLE
Under the supervision of the Senior Manager Program Evaluation, Personnel Support Programs (PSP), you will participate in the development and implementation of evaluation and epidemiological research projects as a member of a multi-disciplinary team in the fields of physical fitness, health promotion, and sports.
You will be responsible to: participate in the design of evaluation and research projects; develop quantitative and qualitative data analysis plans to meet project objectives; develop, maintain and support methods for data collection; and perform data analysis using advanced quantitative and qualitative techniques and software. You will support the assessment of the efficiency and effectiveness of PSP policies, programs, and projects. You will participate in the preparation of reports and the presentation of findings to improve the implementation and delivery of programs, the management of resources, and the documentation of program accomplishments.
You will also be responsible to engage with key stakeholders to ensure alignment of PSP program evaluation and data analysis efforts with similar initiatives across CFMWS and the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF). Through innovative thinking, and a cooperative approach, you will be a critical enabler of solutions for evaluation, data analysis, data linkage, data acquisition, and software in the support of PSP evaluation projects. You will constantly interact with the PSP evaluation team as well as senior research officers within the Human Performance R&D; team to ensure mutual understanding of shared vision, goals and objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED
Education, Certifications and Licenses
Bachelor?s degree in Health Sciences, Statistics, Information Technology or a related discipline AND some years of experience in data analysis, database design or a related field
Experience
In developing data analysis plans
In planning, developing and managing data analysis projects
In data analysis, programming and data visualization
In designing and conducting data collection
In using programming language or equivalent software for data analysis
In providing advice and recommendations
In synthesizing and presenting data analysis results
In program evaluation planning and design
In applying policies, procedures, legislation and regulations
