The Victim/Witness Assistance Program is looking for dedicated individuals in Brampton or Milton to support clients facing the criminal justice system. Your role will involve assessing client needs, providing emotional support, and advocating for clients' rights. Develop and maintain strong partnerships with community organizations to ensure comprehensive assistance while managing your caseload efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
• Inform clients about their cases and rights
• Navigate the court process alongside clients
• Conduct needs assessments and risk evaluations
• Collaborate with agencies for client referrals
• Keep detailed records of case management
Requirements:
• Class 'G' driver's license for positions in Milton
• Skills in crisis intervention and support
• Knowledge of criminal justice legislation
• Ability to prioritize tasks effectively
• Solid writing skills for reports and case files
