Key Responsibilities:
Takes projects from original concept through to final implementation and transition to operations
Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports
Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis
Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables
Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team
Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems
Manages and takes accountability for project budgets and financial reporting
What We're Looking For:
You have a proven track record in managing and supervising staff, excellent communications skills, robust interpersonal skills (including the ability to deal effectively with all levels of staff both internal and external)
Project management experience and the ability to work in a team environment
What You'll Need:
A bachelor's degree in engineering from a recognized post-secondary institution. Electrical Engineering degree is preferred.
You must be eligible for membership with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador (PEGNL) as either a professional member or engineer-in-training.
A minimum seven (7) years work experience in project management, including all aspects of the project life cycle.
Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute would be considered an asset.
Experience managing Enterprise Resource Planning implementations, specifically JD Edwards, would be an asset.
An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
