This permanent full time Health Coach role serves as a pillar for new and expecting families, offering vital support and cultural guidance. You will collaborate with the Kwakwaka’wakw Maternal, Child and Family Health team to ensure families receive holistic and culturally anchored care. This position is not just a job; it's a commitment to empowering Indigenous communities and enhancing health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Guide families through their maternity experiences with empathy
• Partner with healthcare and community organizations for care coordination
• Facilitate access to cultural health supports and resources
• Engage with First Nations families to understand their needs
• Contribute to the development of maternity care initiatives
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Social Work and BC College of Social Workers registration
• Class 5 BC Driver’s License required
• Understanding of maternal and child health practices
• Experience working with First Nations communities
• Willingness to participate in cultural safety training
