Klara Inc. is seeking a Remote ZFS Developer specializing in OpenZFS enhancements. Utilize your solid C programming skills and deep understanding of ZFS internals to make impactful contributions across diverse platforms.

Reporting to the ZFS Engineering Manager, your mission will be to design and implement innovative features while tackling complex bugs. You will actively engage with the community, participate in upstream meetings, and ensure your developments are efficiently integrated into multiple operating systems, including Linux and FreeBSD.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop features for OpenZFS in a remote environment
• Oversee the complete development lifecycle from design to maintenance




• Analyze ZFS performance issues and propose solutions
• Collaborate on patches and community feedback
• Attend monthly upstream developer meetings

Requirements:
• Strong C programming and data structure fundamentals
• Proficiency with Git and version control systems
• Experience in OS-level file system design
• Proven capability to deliver results on time
• Prior experience with open source contributions is a plus
