Nova Scotia Health is looking for a casual Physiotherapist to provide essential rehabilitation services, addressing patient impairments and promoting functional improvement in diverse care settings. Your communication skills will play a key role in patient education.
Reporting to the Health Services Manager, this casual position allows you to provide physiotherapy services in outpatient, inpatient, and community environments. Key responsibilities include assessing and treating a range of patient conditions, supervising students and assistants, and establishing effective communication with healthcare teams and families. Solid interpersonal abilities are required for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and treat patient disabilities and pain
• Educate and support patients and families during rehabilitation
• Supervise and guide physiotherapy students in training
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals for comprehensive care
• Provide clinical supervision to physiotherapy assistants
Requirements:
• Accredited Bachelor's or entry-level Master's in Physiotherapy
• Membership with the Nova Scotia College of Physiotherapists
• CPR certification (BCLS) must be current
• Proficiency in computer skills for patient management
• Additional courses in specialized physiotherapy practices preferable
