Oshawa Animal Hospital is welcoming a customer service-focused Veterinary Reception, Client Care to join our team. This full time chance includes a range of responsibilities that support the efficient and effective daily operation of the hospital. Your primary responsibility is to ensure our clients and their pets feel welcomed, cared for, and appreciated.
Responsibilities
Create a warm and welcoming setting for our patients and pet parents
Assist veterinary staff with various tasks and treatments when required
Answer a multiline phone system and track and book appointments effectively
Place outbound calls to pet parents for follow-up and future appointment bookings
Respond to and manage email correspondence with clients, referring veterinarians, and internal office messages
Admit and discharge pet patients
Invoicing and billing; create estimates, obtain pet owner confirmation, and process payments
Schedule appointments
Demonstrate excellent customer service and a genuine ability to put people at ease
Maintain strong organizational skills
Perform general housekeeping duties; maintain cleanliness of reception area, pet holding areas, and common areas
Willingness to learn more about veterinary services, updated medical office procedures, and assist the veterinary staff as needed
Qualifications
Customer-service oriented with strong communication skills
Ability to manage phone systems, scheduling, and email correspondence effectively
Experience in a veterinary or healthcare setting is a plus
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
