The Major Gifts Officer position reports to the Director of Philanthropy, Stewardship & Engagement and is tasked with cultivating major and legacy gifts. You will implement personalized engagement strategies to identify and secure philanthropic support from individuals and corporations that align with community needs. Your role will be pivotal in achieving our fundraising goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage a robust portfolio of major gift prospects
• Lead impactful solicitation efforts for major donations
• Foster long-term relationships through various engagement avenues
• Ensure timely gift acknowledgment and meaningful donor recognition
• Collaborate on fundraising campaigns and community outreach
Requirements:
• 3+ years in fundraising or client management
• Relevant post-secondary education or equivalent experience
• Proven success in long-term stakeholder engagement
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Valid driver’s license and satisfactory background checks
