About The Role
You will be part of a team of four professionals supporting clinical research, reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel (Research).
Your primary focus will be fast-track clinical trials—agreements that rely on pre-approved templates or existing master agreements and meet defined criteria for streamlined execution. You will also support broader clinical trial work as capacity allows.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and process rapid-track clinical trial agreements using standard templates and master agreements
Coordinate efficient agreement execution with internal stakeholders and external partners
Ensure agreements meet Sunnybrook fast-track criteria and quality standards
Support Sunnybrook’s strategic initiative through template use, workflow improvements, and cycle time reduction, including liaising with Sunnybrook’s Centre for Clinical Trial Support
Engage with industry sponsors and CROs to encourage use of master agreements
Assist with non-quick-track clinical trial agreements as workload permits
Maintain accurate records and track agreement status and metrics
Qualifications
Diploma or degree in law, business, health administration or equivalent
2–5 years of relevant experience in clinical research contracting or legal document management
Familiarity with clinical trial agreements or legal contracting processes is an asset
