In this full-time position, you will collaborate with the Department of Health and Social Services to ensure optimal care for Yukoners. Your role will involve building a strong midwifery team, teaching, and providing clinical oversight based on evidence-based practices. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Midwifery and meet licensing requirements for Yukon's midwifery practice.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide postpartum and neonatal health care services
• Collaborate within an integrated health team
• Maintain a practice environment focused on quality
• Teach, coach, and mentor junior staff members
• Facilitate care within diverse community settings
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Midwifery
• Registered Midwife status in Canada
• Knowledge of risk management and evidence-based practices
• Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
• Rural midwifery experience is an asset
